ServiceNow Professional Services helps the U.S. based semiconductor designer and manufacturer maximize out-of-the-box benefits
With more than 33,000 employees in 224 locations around the world, this world-leading semiconductor company is a long-time ServiceNow customer and had been a strong IT Operations Management (ITOM) reference. However, they became increasingly dissatisfied due to a highly customized on-premise Fuji instance that was poorly implemented and ran on an undersized UNIX platform.
Because they were using an older ServiceNow release, they couldn't utilize recent product capabilities, including advanced event management features and integrated service mapping capabilities. The situation came to a head when there was a change of leadership at the organization.
Once the new leadership was on board, they decided to replace their on-premise implementation of ServiceNow with a cloud instance. Rather than tackle this themselves, they chose ServiceNow Professional Services to ensure the highest level of expertise and to avoid the issues they ran into in the past.
