Change 'from' address for one notification in ServiceNow

Hi Team,

I want from address for one notification to be different , something like 'companyname_compliance@service-now.com'.

I tried updating notification 'from' address with companyname_compliance@service-now.com but it did not work.

So created a user account with companyname_complaince and email as 'companyname_compliance@service-now.com' and then it worked.

But no where in docs its mentioned that we need to create a user. Can someone please explain how this is working?

Hi @SaiRohithP ,

 

It makes sense, right? If you don't have a valid email address or DL with this address, mail/SMTP servers fail to recognize and accept it as a valid or trusted mailbox/domain!

But its working after deleting the user from ServiceNow. But before creation it did not work
