As a BPC, if you ask me, I prefer using Form Builder mainly because it helps in deciding the form design effectively( with drag and drop)  A few key points I follow are:

• Don’t add too many fields to forms.

• Keep the form simple and crisp.

• Use views if you want to show different fields on the form.

• Use sections to group and manage similar types of information.

There are mainly three ways to design form:

1) Form Layout

2) Form design

3) Form builder

Out of these three,  Form builder is recommended:
