Using AI Search for a field on Catalog Item via BOX Integration

I have a requirement to integrate search via BOX, it takes value of a variable on catalog item, then search that value through BOX. Is that even possible by AI Search, by create a Box external content connector? Or are there any other approaches?

About AI Search alone may not be the right approach for my requirement, I'm just a bit concerned about my findings. In Record Producer Configuration, we can config Search Application and Record Producer Variable

I just need to connect the Box external content connector to the source search that's related to Search Application. Is that possible because it's kinda confused to me :((
