For most IT operators, air-gapped networks can be a nightmare for even basic discovery because of no connectivity to the rest of the organization's network.  Each location normally requires a local IT expert to not only gather the data but also have it in a format where a security officer can inspect the data before leaving the air-gapped network.  And since it's so manually time consuming, discovery is often done as infrequently as possible.

Customers that use ServiceNow ITOM Visibility and Discovery can leverage Agent Client Collector to help automate some of of the processes for air-gapped environments. I wish I could say it was a silver bullet that would eliminate all of the challenges and complexity, but air-gapped are designed for very specific reasons.  However, Agent Client Collector does have a scalable and secure architecture that helps reduce a lot of manual processes and can bring the information into your CMDB so you have the single source of truth for your IT resources.

Thank you Matt. One thing I am still unclear on is how ACC works when a client device is offline for some period of time (potentially days or weeks), but then is able to establish network connectivity to the MID server. Does it accumulate data and send everything it has stored? Does it send just the current data, the minute connectivity is established? An example of this might be a client desktop that is used offline or to connect to internet-based services, and only occasionally connects to the corporate VPN that contains the MID server. Are there configurations that control this behavior?

What kind of customization is required in order to be able to output JSON in file format in steps 3 to 5 in the diagram on page 2 of the document?

Ok but I need the agents for those isolated servers.  Where do I download the agent and scripts ?
