π Hello ITOM Admins and Developers!
Here are some practical tips and tricks to save time and avoid common pitfalls when working with Discovery, Service Graph Connectors, and Event Management.
𧩠1. Event Sync Between Instances
A connector to pull/push events from one ServiceNow instance to another.
You can set the syncing interval under Scheduled Jobs.
π‘ Why itβs helpful:
- Test and evaluate event-related features in Sub-Prod using real events from Prod.
- No need to redeploy connectors in non-Prod environments.
- Reduces reconfiguration time and minimizes multiple API calls on monitoring tool sources.
β‘ 2. Quickly Find Relationships Between VMs and Servers
β‘οΈ Navigate to cmdb_rel_ci table β Set filter type as Virtualized By::Virtualizes

βοΈ 4. Certificate Discovery
Before activating certificate discovery, make sure you disable the property:
glide.discovery.certs.enable_incident_creation_for_expired_certificates
to prevent unnecessary incident creation for expired certificates.

𧩠5. Service Graph Connector (SGC) Central
