NEW: Event Management and Azure Monitor integration

ServiceNow and Microsoft introduce a new integration connector between ServiceNow Event Management and Azure Monitoring.

is this supposed to replace the ITSM Connector?

I am using this new event management connector and it works well for Azure monitor metric alerts but for Azure logs from a workspace ServiceNow detects the workspace as the CI instead of the actually affected CI so I have had to duplicate the connector and edit it to cater for azure logs 

I'm just wondering whether I would be better off also implementing the ITSM Connector for logs ?

Can we do this integration without MID Server or MID Server is required for bi-directional integration?
