Often customers want the catalog items that are created in cloud management to be used in standard service portal. This post talks about accomplishing it.

The steps are simple

  1. Get to a cloud catalog item.
  2. Add 'Service Catalog' or your specific catalog to the catalog item. save it.
  3. Click on the categories sub tab.
  4. Edit the categories and add a category from the 'Service Catalog' or your specific catalog.
  5. Go to the service catalog page or your specific catalog page. You can see that this cloud catalog item now shows up.

Hello @Ashok Madhavan1 ,

I recently started learning ITOM and have a query related to the topic above. Suppose I, as an end user, submit a cloud catalog item request for a Windows VM. Once all the stages of the RITM are completed, does ServiceNow directly create a VM in AWS and assign it to respective user, or does it only generate a corresponding record in ServiceNow?

Would this process be considered Cloud Orchestration? If so, what happens if orchestration is not in place? If it is not orchestration, what would it be called instead?

Additionally, if you have any resources or information that can help me explore more about ITOM, please share them with me.
