There is a method: deleteDNSNameRecords
It's code refers to a missing class variable this.ireOutput, where it is supposed to find all IRE provided DNS Entries, in order to synchronize the CMDB DNS records).
That code seems to be invoked ónly, if checks are configured for running Agent based and Horizontal discovery in parallel.
Any Volunteers from ServiceNow willing to open a defect for fixing this with an upcoming release?
