Certificate Custom Solution

Hi,

I have created a custom solution for handling certificates in ServiceNow.

  1. Pulling in Certificates from Dynatrace via Scheduled Job - Script (We have discovery in Dynatrace)
  2. Creating incidents when certificates are about to expire and has expired via Scheduled Job - Script

 

I heard someone say this would potentially be a violation of the ServiceNow terms since ServiceNow already offer a paid plugin Certificate Inventory and Management which have a feature to create incidents (never used it or seen it).

 

I was just wondering if I am in violation of the terms, because that sounds a bit strange to me.
Does anyone know anything about this?
