CI Classifier - How to change class of discovered server

Hi -

I want to classify all Linux Servers as UNIX servers.

I thought that all I had to do is go to the UNIX Classification for Linux and change the Table to cmdb_ci_unix.

This did not work as Linux servers are still going to cmdb_ci_linux_server.

The help on the form even states: "The table to create a record in if this classifier is triggered"

I know it is being triggered because I also put a script line of: current.u_status_discovery = "reclassified";

This is captured in the discovered CI.

What is the Table designation for on this form?

I was hoping this was an easy way to re-classify CIs.

How best to go about doing this?

Thanks

Hi,

There are some properties that controls if you can upgrade, downgrade or switch classes. Check that they are configured correctly to allow a class switch.
