Hi Community,
I am trying to discover Cisco ISE virtual appliances/ Servers hosted on VMware vCenter.
The VM infrastructure is not discovered, and I also need to discover and classify the ISE Servers/nodes correctly using their management IPs. I could not find a clear out-of-box Cisco ISE pattern or dedicated CMDB class in our current environment.
Could you please advise:
- Which protocol should be used: SNMP, SSH, or Cisco ISE REST API?
- Which CMDB class should represent the ISE appliance?
- Is an out-of-box OID classification or Visibility Content pattern available?
- How should the ISE appliance be related to its VMware VM CI?
If anyone has successfully implemented Cisco ISE Discovery, please share the classifier, CI class, relationship, and pattern or integration approach used.
Thank you.
Abdul Mohammed
