Cloud Discovery options

Hello All,

 

We have implemented the cloud discovery using ServiceNow Clod discovery and data is getting populated in VM Instance table. Also, we are discovering the same servers using IP based discovery as well that is giving us IP address and other information as well.

 

I need a suggestion that we should use both methods as data is sitting in different tables or we should use only one method between Cloud Discovery or IP based discovery.

Hi,

If you're referring to this: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/tokyo-it-operations-management/page/product/discovery/concept/clo... -- then using a combination of both service account and IP based discovery will give you the most complete information. IP based discovery is a great way to get even more information than what would be available if you only went with service account discovery, etc.
