Hi Vara,

Have you figured it out or are you still looking for an answer?

Thanks!

Vara,

Unless those devices are on your network, you will not be able to discover them with Discovery or ServiceWatch.

You have two general categories of data listed under "Data Center"

        Physical Locations

                  Data Center

                  Computer Room

                  Zone

Rack (Yes, racks are physical CIs, but most data centers refer to racks as a x/y location in the data center)

        Data Center Support Resources

                  UPS

                  Power Circuit

                  CRAC

Physical Location data represents "areas" and is not going to be "discoverable" .   Data Center Support Resources are electronic resources, but either are not on the network or are not discoverable out of the box. You'll enter this data manually into ServiceNow or (ideally!) you integrate with the DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tool your Data center team uses to manage the data center.(Ask your Data center team which DCIM tool they use and then research if it can integrate with ServiceNow or it you need to use a Import Set)

UPS can be discovered and depending on the model the information is useful for high end planning of resource utilization and alerting.

Have you worked with Racks? If we want to present them in ServiceNow like diagrams. What would be the approach?
