@Morgan2 could you elaborate on your solution? I'm trying to accomplish the same thing and I believe between when you posted and now, the numbering on the Network Switch pattern has changed, so do you mean 6.5, 6.6, 6.7 and 8 in the most recent pattern? Would you mind posting some screenshots of how you did the duplicate of 5.6/6.6? Thanks in advance!

Yeah, either it changed since then or I had dumb moment. It's 6.5, 6.6, 6.7 and then 8. You copy them pretty much identically, and use the OID I listed above. I also added another OID, I can't remember which model it's for (shame on me for not documenting better), but still Aruba. So you may not need step 4-7 that I have.

Hi @Morgan2 ,
Thank you for the solution. I wanted to confirm whether we should create this as a separate library and then reference that library within the Network Switch pattern. Would this approach avoid directly modifying the out‑of‑box (OOB) pattern? My concern is that updating the OOB pattern could lead to issues during future upgrades. Could you please clarify the recommended way to configure this? Thankyou!

Hi Pranita,
You'd be adding a pattern extension, which does not affect anything OOB. This is the ServiceNow approved way to add things your company needs without customizing anything. It would only be considered a customization if you alter the discovery part of the pattern. Hope this helps!!

Hi @Morgan2
Thank you for your quick reply, I really appreciate it!
I tried adding the OID you mentioned, along with another OID we obtained through an SNMP walk, but I’m still getting an empty value message. Do we need to perform any additional configurations, such as importing the OID MIB into ServiceNow?
Here’s the step I created and tested:
SNMP Query
OID
Value
Could you please help me understand if there are further configurations required to make this work?
Thanks again!
