Hello ITOM Experts,
What type of credential needs to be set as we have all Windows AD Authenticated and SSO for infra devices.
Meaning Storage, MS SQL, SCCM, All are AD Authenticated.
So NO JDBC (for SQL DB)
NO CIM for Storage
NO JDBC for SCCM
So If I am not wrong is only Windows Credentials (with Domain Admin rights) to be set in Credentials and that Account to be given relevant roles in each area.
Please help.
Thanks

@Nisha30 Yes, Nisha. You are right. The Windows Credentials should be given to the Mid Server User and appropriate roles should be provided for this 'Mid Server User' in the infra. In Servicenow, it's just basic authentication, if you are using this mid-server user to do Discovery.

Yes. If you are using Windows based Mid-server for discovery.

First you don't need 'Domain Admin' you just need a 'domain user that has local admin privileges'. You would enter this user in the credentials table on your instance and the machine does the rest. And thats all you would need if your server environment is nothing but windows based OS's. But don't forget about the network devices and any applications that you would want to get enriched data from, you might want to add those credentials as well.
