Hello all!
My organization will be implementing ServiceNow Discovery in Q1/Q2 2025, but I have not been able to find any reference or documentation related to a specific question I have regarding Disk (Hard Drive) Serial Numbers.
Does Discovery have the ability to pull in Disk serial numbers on assets such as computers? SG-JAMF has this ability, but we are running into issues trying to obtain this information from SG-SCCM/SCCM as it is not an out of the box function. We are hoping we will be able to obtain this data with Discovery as it is needed for deprecation tracking purposes.
Thank you!

Hi @kchapman87 ,
There is no single discovery function that discovers all computers. It's separated into different functions depending on technology and operating system. They all have some variations in their capabilities. But if we take discovery of Windows servers as an example then yes. There is a part of the discovery pattern that will pick up and store the serial numbers of the disks.

Niklas
