Discovery of AIX Servers

Hello!

I have noticed something strange. Inside the CMDB we have some AIX servers that are not discovered every night(we have discovery schedules that run every night to discover the infrastructure).

Some AIX servers are not discovered consistently. For example, server A was discovered 3 days ago and 2 days ago and yesterday there is no log in the Discovery status for it, but today the servers was discovered again.

This happens for a considerable number of servers. If you take any of those servers and run a quick discovery, it is discovered properly, no issues related to the discovery process. But it might happen that the server was not discovered during the scheduled discovery. What seems strange to me is that there are no logs in the discovery status. It is like the IP address does not exist.

I do not know if it is relevant that they are AIX servers, but I provided it as an information just to be here

P.S. The IP addresses are not excluded from discovery(not global, not exclusion in schedules)

1. What about the discovery schedule status job is it getting completed successfully?
2. Also do you have a huge subnet under that discovery schedule?

3. What is the started and completed count for the discovery status job?

Hello!

1. For some schedules yes, for some no.

2. Yes, there are mainly broadcast subnets.

3. Similar as 1, some have equal started and completed, some not.
