Our Wintel Team are complaining that the ServiceNow Discovery Powershell scripts are running long and causing CPU spikes on Windows Servers, which they are then having to resolve - Some but not all. Discovery itself is completing without issue and within normal time - as far as we can tell. Has anyone else come across this before? Thanks in advance.

I have not come across this but was looking on the DOC site and I would check if you are using file-based discovery:
https://www.servicenow.com/docs/r/it-operations-management/discovery/file-based-discovery.html
This triggers powershell and I would guess that maybe if one server has a lot of files or large file that could get picked up...it may cause a performance issue. Maybe the team can also tell you what process and/or command is being run as that may help tpo tie it back to a specific part of discovery.
