Hello Team,
While executing the Discovery of Routers/Switches I am getting error on Pattern. We are on Tokyo version.
I get below message not able to identify cmdb_serial_number.
2023-04-10 10:50:15: Identification Engine: Discovery status is FAILURE, Identification sections in pattern failed: section: discovery, error: Relation and/or reference table cmdb_serial_number is not a known CI Type. Check the discovery logs for more details..
Credential checks fine.
Please advise.
Thanks.

You might be missing some identification rules, have you customized those?

You need to check the Identification rule for the CI type, seems there could be some customizations. Refer to the below KB for possible causes and fix
https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0751615
Before a reference or relationship is created between two CI types in a pattern step, the pattern will:
- Check that both CI types are in the CMDB hierarchy
- If both are in the CMDB hierarchy the relation or reference is created without issues
- If one the CIs is not in the CMDB hierarchy, it will check that it is connected to the child CI by either a:
- Lookup identification rule
- Identification related entry
