Hi All,
I am trying to install the MID Server in Windows 2016 Server. While installing MID server it ask for Local Service Account Details. I have created a user in Local users and Groups. Now I am adding that user in Local Security Policy. Local Policies->User Right Assignment->Log on as Service. However in Windows 2016 Server adding a user is disabled.
Please suggest how I can proceed it installing a mid server.

The issue is fixed. There is a manual way of creating a Service account by which user gets added in the "Log On as Service" policy.

Follow these steps:
-
Sign in with administrator privileges to the computer from which you want to provide Log on as Service permission to a Run As accounts.
-
Go to Administrative Tools and select Local Security Policy.
-
Expand Local Policy and select User Rights Assignment.
-
In the right pane, right-click Log on as a service and select Properties.
-

-
In the Select Users or Groups dialog, find the user you wish to add and select OK.
-

Hi @Rohit Singh
if you are seeing user add option is greyed out then check Modify the Group Membership of the User as the user account that you have created for the MID Server need to be part of a specific local group, like the admin or Users group, to be eligible for rights assignments.
