Horizontal Discovery Sensor Failed to update IP on the CI (Windows Servers Hosting Hyper-V)

When discovering Windows Servers that are hosting Hyper-V servers I am getting the following error:


Error in Horizontal Discovery Sensor for Horizontal Pattern: Failed to update IP on the CI, java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: invalid IP address *servername here*

 

Discovery does find the network interfaces without issue and correctly populates the IP on the network interface CI attached to the server, but when applying to the IP Address field for the server CI itself it remains blank per the error above. This isn't happening on any other Server or Client discovery. I thought perhaps it was a duplicate IP issue with the Hyper-V server, and it may be, but no IPs are being populated at all for the Hyper-V Server CI.

As this field cannot be directly edited to 'correct' for it, nor would it be best practice if it could, I am looking for next steps or possible solutions. Thank You in advance.

Fortunately, the issue self-resolved in my case. Unfortunately, I don't know if it was an update to our ServiceNow instance or a change in our environment.
