HI team,
I have a requirement to discover Aruba WAP. I assume to achieve this we would need to discover controller handling SNMP. Can anybody provide me with guidance on this. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Monica,
Are you saying that you are able to discover Aruba APs using This Pattern?
I have imported the Aruba MIBs as well and did a Quick Discovery. It triggers the same pattern but no luck. WC is getting discovered in IP switch class but not APs.
If you are able to discover please let me know..
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Ankit

No this is not what i am saying....i was using the same approach to discover ap i.e. using controllers, but that should not be done, in orlando ap are discovered through switch, so used use that to discover cisco ap, but aruba i was not able to discover as i don't have the oid for the ap table.

Hello, Aruba WAP can be discovered in the similar way as are done for CISCO Waps, however Aruba AP has to be in cluster and managed one of those Aruba Controllers (basically one Aruba AP act as controller ). Than you have to create new Pattern, copy of OOTB "Cisco Wap" and change the pattern query OID to 1.3.6.1.4.1.14823.2.3.3.1.2.1.1

well with this amount of data it is difficult to give you any hint. But are you trying to query Aruba Controller? Is the device discoverable? Credentials are OK?
