Hi All,

while creating cloud discovery, I'm unable to select the service account. It is showing error message as "Service Account ""  is not Operational. Select a different account." The operational status of the account is operational only. Please let me know how to resolve this. PFA image

Thanks,

Supriya.

You need to delete the data center first.  From the related list delete the data center.

Hi there,

To resolve the issue with cloud discovery and the error message regarding the service account not being operational, we can follow these steps:

Step 1: Ensure the Service Account is correctly configured and operational.

  • Check the credentials of the Service Account to ensure they are accurate and have the necessary permissions to perform cloud discovery tasks.

Step 2: Check the operational status of the Service Account.

  • Verify that the Service Account is indeed marked as "Operational" in the ServiceNow platform.

Step 3: Clear the cache to eliminate any temporary glitches.

  • Clear the cache of the ServiceNow platform to ensure that any temporary issues are resolved.

Step 4: Restart the cloud discovery process.

  • Restart the cloud discovery process after performing the above steps to see if the issue persists.

Hi,

Did you manage to bypass this issue?

I am having the same problema

Thank you

Make the status of the service account is install, from the table view of cmdb_ci_cloud_service_account. if it is retired or any other status change it to install. This is what fixed the issue for me
