Hi Team,
I am currently investigating an issue where multiple computer records received from Intune are updating a single CI in the CMDB.
As part of the analysis, I have verified the following:
- The Intune records have different source native keys.
- The computer names are different.
- The serial numbers are different.
- The MAC addresses/network adapters are different.
- Multiple sys_object_source records are being created, but they all point to the same target CI.
To further troubleshoot the issue, I removed the related serial number, network adapter, and source records associated with the affected CI. However, after the next Intune import, the records were again identified as the same CI and updated accordingly.
At this point, I am trying to determine which Identification Rule/Identifier Entry is being used by IRE during the Service Graph Intune import process to match these different Intune devices to the same CMDB CI.
Please let me know if anyone has encountered a similar scenario or has suggestions on how to identify the exact matching criteria being used.
Thanks in Advance
Regards,
Avinash
