All:  I marked this thread as new since the problem apparently still exists since the original post.

I am also encountering this problem on an Vancouver instance recently upgraded from Tokyo but believe the issue was reintroduced in a Tokyo patch in MID September 2023.

I am getting not only the messages, but the IP Address field is not getting updated on certain CIs that are newly created by Discovery and we have verified that if we blank out the IP Address on the CI Discovery will not update it.  We believe it may be related to devices were there are multiple IPs.

We have submitted a Case with Support but are sort of getting a run around.  Their initial assessment was the issue is in the Horizontal Discovery Sensor and related to logic that attempts to prevent IP Addressing Flipping (again were a device may be discovered via multiple interfaces or IPs).   Support's initial solution was the issue would be resolved by upgrading the Discovery Patterns to the 1.8.0 release (we were running the prior 1.6.0 release).  Upgrading to 1.8.0 did not resolve the problem.

Support has pointed to several PRs PRB1666251/KB1579364 and PRB1721054.  Currently they are stating the developers are working the issue.

Please revert if you have any additional information or find a solution.

Update:  Upgrading to Discovery Patterns 10.0.1 may have resolved the issue of the message appearing in the Logs, but did not fully resolve the IP Address not being updated on the CIs.  Upgrading also introduced a new error in the Discovery Network Device Post Sensor which is the error is stating "Network Devices - Post Sensor" failed due to: InternalError: String object would exceed maximum permitted size of 33554432"".  The devices I observed this on seems to discovered properly but not certain if an related CIs are missing or not updated properly.   Support is still working the issue.

Hi Bob, I talked to one of the developers, and it looks like the upcoming fix only addresses the warnings. So the issue of the IP Address field not being updated will not be resolved. Were you ever able to resolve that issue yourself?
