SNMP Discovery not fetching Serial Number for Zebra Printers

Hi All,

We are currently facing an issue with SNMP Discovery for Zebra printers, where ServiceNow is not able to  fetch serial Number for Zebra Printer.

🔷 Observed Behavior

Discovery is successfully reaching the device via SNMP and classifying it as a printer.
However, serial number is not being fetched in the discovery payload.
Because of this:

Identification Rule for Serial Number + Serial Type is getting skipped.
Identification falls back to MAC Address (cmdb_ci_network_adapter).


As a result:

Discovery always updates the same CI,

Current Identification rule for Printer:

Priority 100 → Serial Number + Serial Type (Lookup)
Priority 150 → MAC Address (Network Adapter) 
Priority 180 → IP Address Priority 200 → Serial Number
Priority 250 → Name

I have also found some community articles for this Zebra Printer issue, to resolve this they go with Custom Solution.

Is there any OOTB solution for this issue?
