Hello ITOM community,
My company is performing a lift and shift of 80% of our on-prem servers to our Azure cloud. We have mid-servers located in all Azure regions that are being utilized. We have had no issues with Discovery finding the migrated server, and updating the IP address, location and few other fields on the server CI that changed due to the migration.
The issue I am having is that most of the old relationships (cmdb_rel_ci) to on-prem hardware, such as ESX hosts, disks, etc, are being left in place and are not being removed. I know managing relationships between CIs is key to a healthy and useful CMDB. How are others that have done a lift and shift going about removing and/or cleaning up old and not longer valid relationships?
