Make fields mandatory on the Computer table

Hi,

Is it possible to define a couple of mandatory fields within the Computer table (cmdb_ci_computer) to manage our laptops and desktops. 

 

What is the best way to do this without cascading these mandatory fields onto the extended tables like Server, vCenter, etc? Are UI policies the only way to go?

You may also want to pair this with your health dashboard. Configure these as recommended fields in the CI Class Manager. https://www.servicenow.com/community/itom-articles/how-to-configure-completeness-kpi-in-cmdb-health-... 

 

Do NOT configure this in the dictionary as this can prevent the IRE from inserting new records from your discovery sources.
