Members of the group assigned to the task cannot assign the task to an individual for Cert Task

Hi All,

When creating certification tasks, members of the group assigned to the task cannot assign the task to an individual. Can anyone explain why this is not working? I would expect that if the group assigned wants to assign to a member on that team, they should have the capability to do

Hi @Suvetha S ,

Can u check if there are any field level ACLs present for assigned to & the group members dont have required role. Or if there is any script which is making the assigned to value read only

Can you tell if there are any business rules or ACL related to the group?
Generally this occurs due to some rule associated with the writing or update group.

To enable group members to assign tasks to individuals within the same group, you should ensure that:

1.  Review the roles assigned to group members and their associated permissions. Group members need to have the appropriate roles that grant them the authority to assign tasks.

2. Check the specific catalog item or task you're working with. Verify that it's configured to allow assignments by group members to individuals within the same group. You can do this by inspecting the catalog item settings.

3. Ensure that the assignment rules, if set up, aren't restricting group members from assigning tasks to individuals within their own group.

4.  Review any scripts or business rules associated with task assignments. There might be custom scripting that's affecting the assignment behavior.

5.  Examine any user criteria applied to the assignment rules. Make sure it's not excluding group members from assigning tasks within the same group.
