Missing rights on agent-client-collector folder

Morning All,

We're rolling out # ACC this week and we have a trend happening. The c:\ProgramData\ServiceNow\agent-client-collector folder is missing the 'ServiceNow Users' group Full Control This folder only. (attached screenshot)

We can usually correct it by stopping the service, uninstall, reinstall.

It manifests in the instance as Collection failed. In the ECC queue, it shows permission denied on the agent-client-controller folder (attached screenshot)

The very odd part, it's not every server. It's rather random. The run team has a theory that Trellix or Crowdstrike may be interfering and are testing that. Disabling those worked with one DMZ server we were struggling with. It seems hard to believe that would be randomly applied.

We have the Citrix PVS 'golden images' all working as of last week but when we rolled out the images this morning, we have over a thousand servers with this issue this morning. Obviously uninstall/reinstall is not the answer. We're slow rolling this product, this was the first waves with the PVS servers.

I suppose we could write some script that says 'If these rights don't exists, apply them' but that seems rather hacky.

Has anyone seen this issue? Any suggestions to a fix?

To run servicenow ACC we need snow discovery license or is it okay to do with only event management license
