In Network Switch pattern I have deleted the step "Insert model to cmdb_ci_ip_switch" but still Discovery is populating/Updating the Product ModelID

@Venkata Subbar1 after running the discovery, check the discovery log for this pattern, if this is actually updating it.

Thank you for the response , In Discovery log it is not showing but it is updating in CMDB.

@Venkata Subbar1 search with the Model ID string. May be discovery is getting it in another field but updating to Model ID in mapping.

Hi Venkata,
Please search for the OID in SNMP Classification table(discovery_classy_snmp) for Standard Network Switch and remove model information from it. Do this for all devices where you don't want to update Model and Manufacturer as Classification update these based on this table.
As a best practice, only disable the pattern step rather than deleting the step and then clear model/manufacturer information related to OID in SNMP Classification table.
