I have a group within my organization that would like to service map Biscom's Faxcom solution. More to the point, they are asking that the SIP connections be added to the service map. Faxcom by itself is a pretty short service map, just a couple of services all running on a single server.
Faxcom is set up for fax over IP via T.38 + G.711 to three IP Routers. If I try to simply add the SIP initiation port (5060 / 5061) using a TCP connection, I get the error: " Failed to recognize application. See the Discovery Pattern Log for more details." I suspect because it has no way of defining an 'application' on an IP router. Looking at the discovery log, it goes through all of the possible suggested connection types and dumps out without finding one that works.
Any ideas on how to do this? I'd settle for how to fake it. This solution is destined for the dumpster and the solution they are supposed to be using, Rightfax, uses Fax via FTP.
