Switch from Calculated Application Service Map to Tag-Based Application Service Map?

Background

We have a goal to start using Service Mapping for a customer and I wanted to try out Tag Based Service Mapping on an already existing Application Service that they handle manually by using Calculated Application Service and adding relations manually. This works pretty good, but we want to have a more automated focus here instead.

But when I wanted to create an updated Service Map for one already excising Calculated Application Service, I was prompted that I couldn't create a Tag based Service Map for this Application, since the name already existed.

Question

What options do I have here?

Can I replace the old Service Map with the new tag based Service Map or what is the suggested work for handling this?

Hi @Henrik Jutterst ,

I am not sure how we can move the calculated application service  to Tag based but OOB this is not possible which i remember.

As both service maps type are using the different methodology hence its little difficult to replace to Mapped application to tag based service mapping.

Also best way to create a new Service map with different name to use in tag based application service.

Not sure, but I found this post in the community yesterday, and this might be one way to handle this.

Converting an Application Service from Top Down to a CSDM Application Service

It doesn't handle the conflict that I had, but it's one way to start all over.

So I'm not sure there's a way to handle this name conflict really.
