Unable to link child incident to parent - Error Message

Hi,

We utilise the major incident function with our high impacting incidents. We had three incidents promoted to major before realising it was the same root case.

I've been able to move all the child incidents linked to all, to now reflect under one parent. However I am now unable to link the two major incidents to the Parent Incident

Is this because major incidents cannot be child?

I think the way to go is demote the 2 extra Major incidents then you can update the relationship to the single Major Incident

"When an incident is incorrectly evaluated to be a major incident, you can demote the major incident even after it is accepted so that the incident can be handled as a regular incident."
