Hi Experts,
we have recently implementing the discovery and as part of azure cloud discovery, we observed a weird behavior that the VM instances that are created with operational status and then when it is moving to terminated status it is deleting all the relationships that the CI had. Was wondering if it was from a delete strategy but we neither see any of such.
is this an expected behavior? if so i'm pretty sure there should be some where in servicenow that it is telling to delete the relationships? where it is and what could be the possible reason for this?
any troubleshooting tips. Quick response are highly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi
I would recommend to check the respective discovery pattern that is being triggered during the discovery process. Examining the discovery log and the steps in the pattern should probably gives you the answer on which step the relationships are being updated. I think that would be the best initial step for troubleshooting this.
I hope this helps you. Please, mark my reply as helpful in case it was. 🙂

Hey @Vijayalakshmi M ,
curious to see if you were able to find a solution for this issue, I am also facing the same error.
Discovery updates the status of a VM as terminated and the remationships are lost
