I am new to configuration management and have my experience and knowledge in change management.Can anyone please explain how we add a CI to CMDB in Service Now.What is the procedure?Is it through a change or a task.If so who enters the details into the CMDB.What are the details that need to entered?Then what do we do with the discovery process?Totally confused.Kindly help.

Hi Geoff,
We also have similar requirement to order for CI that can affect multiple Assets, for ex- User can ask for RAM up gradation for several assets in a single Request. Whatever flow you have designed seems much Informative.
If possible can you share some screenshot of Wizard, Actually the screens from where the User select appropriate option and then navigate to final Order Submission. It will be very useful to me to implement the Requirement with better vision.

Our build wizard.
I have attached some images from our build wizard. The stuff behind the Connections forms uses proprietary UI pages, however, so you'll need to have an html/js expert design your own.
