Hello Team,

I would like to clarify if an approval in ServiceNow, approved by the ServiceAccount through API, requires a Business Stakeholder License.

Example:


Approval 1
Approver: User1
Approval: RITMXXXXXX1

 

Approval 2
Approver: User2
Approval: RITMXXXXXX2

 

  • If Approval 1 is approved/rejected by User1, does User1 require a Business Stakeholder License?
  • If Approval 2 is approved/rejected by the ServiceAccount through API.
    • Does User2 require a Business Stakeholder License?
    • Does the ServiceAccount require a Business Stakeholder License?

Ask these questions to your SN sales rep. We don't know your contract, what is included and what is not.

Any answer given on the community can be true or false and ServiceNow will not say "o, if they said it on the community, then we won't bill you for it". If you make a decision on the answer given here and it is the wrong answer, they will bill you.

See for every customer the license stuff works different on basis of various criteria, as suggested by @Mark Manders  it will be great if you reach out to your Service Account Manager, he/she will be best person to guide and provide information on same.
