Assignment group names revert back to Sam account names

I'm currently on ServiceNow Zurich. Our Active Directory is integrated with ServiceNow. We have Assignment Group names such as 'ICT Service Desk' with the SAM account name 'APP - ServiceNow - ICT Service Desk'.
Lately, we've created new Assignment Groups with same format but the names of the group in ServiceNow are the same as the SAM account. For example, 'Network' with the SAM account name 'APP - ServiceNow - Network' has the Assignment Group name 'APP - ServiceNow - Network' instead of simply 'Network'.
Can someone explain why and how to keep the AD name as the assignment group name in ServiceNow?
