An auto discussion is initiated for change request when for normal change state moves from new to access and for standard from new to scheduled. Is this an OOB behavior? if yes, then how to disable this.

Hi @Ssinha4
No, this is not available out-of-the-box (OOTB). It’s likely that a Business Rule (BR) or Flow is being triggered.
I recommend trying the following:
-
Repair the Change Management plugin
-
Repair the SOW plugin
-
Then re-test the behavior
This should help identify if the issue is plugin-related
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

Hi @Ssinha4 ,
No, this is not OOB behavior in ServiceNow.
If your instance is initiating auto discussions during those specific state transitions, it's due to customizations or enhancements done on top of the platform.

Hi,
I have come along the same behavior after updating to Yokohama. Any explanation what could cause this?

We've been experiencing the same behavior since the Yokohama upgrade and haven't yet been able to determine why the sidebar discussions are being created automatically.
There is a business rule, but we have it inactive:
"New sidebar discussion created"
This contains an incident (not like in our discussion creation a change) and calls a subflow that isn't triggered otherwise. I haven't been able to find any other place in the system so far.
If anyone has a solution, please let me know.
Best regards,
Oliver
