category picker not displaying list of category while creation of new knowledge articles

yesterday
After australia upgrade , category picker on new knowledge article creation form is not displaying active categories for the knowledge base.
if we try to select the category directly , then it can be selected but on "magnifying glass icon ". category picker results in empty screen.

Make sure the categories are active.
If the categories are inactive, the screen will appear empty.
