CI for tape drive?

Hi all,

We are importing our spreadsheet based CMDB into ServiceNow, however we are unable to find a table for devices like tape drives. We're putting them under "Storage server" for now, but that's not the correct category for them. What do people normally record this under?

I'd might suggest extending cmdb_ci_hardware because you are right, its not necessarily a storage server.   Perhaps even extend or drop them into cmdb_ci_msd (Mass Storage Device)

I guess you can use the storage device class or extend it to configure the tape drive class

i know discovery works / runs on IP. 

but need confirmation.
