When you set a policy that is applied to all data entered into the platform ( UI, import sets or web services ? Where does this policy required the default ?
In short, A UI policy is default one which can be converted to data policy and vice versa. UI Policy will work only client side insertions, where as data policy restrict all client and server side insertions
But i would lik to reply based on the picture that @Bharath Kumar A shared : "Use a UI Policy on the client" , means that by default this is is run on the server side and if we active this option this time the operation will done on the client side
