Default filter on reference field

Hi All,

Is there any way to apply default filter on reference field so that user can click on search and new window pop-up with filter applied by default at first and if user does not satisfy with the records obtained then he can click on 'All'' to get whole list. ??

Thanks.

The ability to set up a filter that is editable on a reference field is not currently available. I suggest you add it to the Idea Portal on the community. Our product managers review the idea portal for customer requests all the time. Sorry I didn't have an easy to configure (and maintain) option for you out of the box.

What's the use case? I haven't heard of anyone wanting to show someone all records when a filter is applied, it usually leads to "bad" results.

Hi @Chuck Tomasi :

Actually, I want this default filter to be applied on service offering field to display a limited list of applications/workplace-type SO at first when end-user opens an incident. End user can have the ability to select ALL to get whole list if he did not find the SO first.

Thanks,

Udit

Old thread here, but... this is still not an option as far as I can tell.  Anyone ever add this to the idea portal?

Tried to do this for a CI ref qual on incident form.  Give them option to view related CIs to caller, but if it's not relevant, allow them to click all to search for the one they want to select.
