Hi @shweta14,
Instead of putting 'None' as default value, go to Choice List Specification section and select 'include None in dropdown' option. Then None will be the choice by default. You don't need to configure default value for 'None'.
If you found this reply helpful, please mark it as solution/helpful.

Hi @shweta14,
I think my response and solution has been lost in the thread. Read this full response below including the important part under the screenshot. Is this still an issue or have responses helped close this out?
Clear the Default value you've entered and check the 'Choice List Specification' tab to ensure you have the 'Choice' set to 'Dropdown with --None--
The Dropdown field will default to none if no default value is set.
If you are still not seeing the value off -- None -- open opening a record, it maybe becuase you're opening an existing record where you've already saved a default value.
Can you confirm what happens when you create a new record? Does it default with --None-- ?
If that's the case, for all the records where it's not displaying --None-- where it should be, you'll have to update them.
The good news is, for all newly created records moving forward will be as required.
To help others (or for me to help you more directly), please mark this response correct by clicking on Accept as Solution and/or Helpful.
Thanks, Robbie

Hi @shweta14,
Configure the dropdown field as per the given screenshot and set the Default Value field empty and also make sure there is no onload client script is written to set that field value as "null".
Please hit the like button if my suggestion has helped you in any way.
Please mark correct if my response has solved your query.
Thanks & Regards
Jyoti Jadhav
