Do service accounts consume fullfiller licenses?

David Schafer

Do service accounts(IE. users specified as web service only/non-interactive) that have been granted the 'itil' role consume a fulfiller  license?

Thanks.

@David Schafer  The answer is no. The legacy  ITIL role itself does not consume a license.  If you marked the user Web-service-only (non-interactive) or “integration” user accounts, likewise, do not consume any named-user licenses. Only users who actually log in via the UI are metered.

Note: licensing can vary by contract, so you may also want to confirm with your ServiceNow account rep & find out.

In my knowledge, marking a user as Web Service Access-only and giving them the  ITIL  role will not eat into your fulfiller licenses.
