How Business Duration Calculated in Incidents ,how this calculated?

There is the field in incident form called "Business Duration" Can anyone please explain what exactly, this field does ?

if they don't want to see in report etc then try to add field level READ ACL with script as answer=false;

Is it used? If not, inactivate it on dictionary level. It won't show up. But 'customer want' is not always the best reason to do something. The 'why' behind the requirement is more important and will probably also give you the solution. Because if the 'why' is 'we don't use it', inactivation is the way to go.
