How can I identify where the Approval "Description" field content is generated from?

Hi Everyone,

I have a question regarding the Approval (sysapproval_approver) form.

When I open an approval record for a Requested Item (RITM), I can see a Description section under "Summary of Item being approved" that displays all the catalog item variables and their values (as shown in the screenshot).

I would like to understand where this information is generated from.

Specifically:

  • Is it populated by a Business Rule or Script Include?
i checked in client script, business rule i couldn't find

    Thanks in advance

Hi @TEJAS

The Summary of Item being approved section is generated by an Approval Summarizer Formatter that dynamically renders a specialized UI Macro rather than a Business Rule or Script Include.

Refer: KB0722392 Displaying fields in the Approval Summarizer
