How to access Catalog item variables in Order guide??

Hi All,  

How we can access the catalog item varibles in order guide. I need to make some of the variables make read only  when i use that particluar cat item in order guide , It should reflect only when i use  that order guide .

How i can achieve this ??

Order guide is visible first and then Catalog item, Usually I have seen questions asking how to pass information from order to Catalog item.
