How to add a custom field to large number of forms

Is there a way to take a custom attribute on the cmdb_ci table and add it to many table forms (servers, net gear, etc.) easily? The issue is when we do a release upgrade the forms get overwritten and have to be re-done and it takes a long time.

Hi @MMGF ,

I would not suggest you create field on base table if you need it only for hardware devices then create on hardware table.

In upgrade your form should not override, you have to design form and list , capture in update set and migrate it to prod.

if you wish that field should be available on all child tables then create field on base table

if it has to be on specific tables then create field on that particular table
